G.(A).J <T> asked:

So the CHEAPEST gas in the area that I live in is at a 7-11 on the other side of town. $4.37 for regular unleaded. In February, It was a year since I bought the car I’m currently driving-A 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally, which gets about 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.. Stock. After the few mods that I have installed, It’s probably pushing about 5-7 mpg MORE.
So when I first bought the car, It took me about $25 bucks to fill up the whole tank and that would last me at least a week of driving.

Today, It takes me about $45 to fill it up and lasts me about two days.. driving the same amount if not LESS than I did back when I first bought the car.

So is just me, Or did the quality of gas go to CRAP as the prices are going up???

I’m paying twice as much at the pump to take me to half the places I need to go.
What a bunch of B.S!!!
I’m going to put some money into a bicycle and use that as my form of transportation.
No more paying for cheaper quality gas for more cash.

Levvi asked:

So my family always has a scavenger hunt by this year we are doing an adult only hunt and it is around town. People will be divided into groups and they will be driving around town and doing specific task. Each group will be asked to take a photo of them doing task. Some of the ideas we have are:
-fork a family members yard (placing a sign in the yard saying “you’ve been forked”
-finding a blow up yard display and posing with it
-finding pumpkins to make ***** or a gourd for *****
-tp family members porch or take everything out of cabinets
-go to random house an asking for a can of tomatoe soup
-pump exactly 13 cents of gas at pump 13 and then pay inside with pennies
-ask a bartender to sign each persons chest or back
-go to walmart and try on a costume an get a photo with employee
-go to any store and wrap a customer up in toilet paper
-go buy a balloon and keep it in every following picture
-go to restraint and sing Adams family to random table
-go to lowes or home depot and make a funny pose with a chainsaw
-place multiple for sale signs in family members yard
-do a funny pose along with a cop
-go to a hotel and ask for a sheet to make a group ghost photo
-go to a video store and create a display with a Random customer
-create a 6 person human pyrimid with any people any where
-ride a broom down an isle at a store
-go find apples in a store and carry it back to register in mouth
-dump leaves on family members porch
-put a knife and fork in roadkill
all of these are possibilities, after the scavenger hunt is done we will place the pictures on a slideshow and view them at our house. Please help us think of more ideas you can build on the ones above or you can create new ones. Please keep them cheap, and halfway simple tasks, remember they have to be able to take pictures of the task. THANKS to all who sumbit ideas!!!!

brandon asked:

Ok I have a family of 5 (my wife and I and 3 young children). My wife and I were considering getting a truck for more space as I have an 08 accord and my wife an 05 impala. It gets cramped in the backseat with 2 infant car seats and my sons booster. I wanted to look at purcahsing a Tahoe, but with the rise in the gas prices I don’t think that would be the best of economic ideas atm.

I am now looking at larger sedans that may be easier on gas and even cheaper when it comes to total price. So far I have taken a liking too the 2011 Chrysler 300. I was wondering if there is anyone with one of these vehicles who has a large family and how you are fairing with the space? Very nice design and seems to have the right size for my backseat to be a bit more comfortable and not break my bank in gas. I do some highway driving, but mostly I drive in town back and forth from work, home, and daycare. I would like anyone’s opinion on the subject, and if you have any recommendations or personal exp with this issue please share. Thank you.

Let see I went on gas buddy and the cheapest gas is $4.45 a gallon but I have to go all the way across town to get it. The highest right now is $4.69 but those prices don’t include the extra 10 cents they charge if you use your credit card at the pump… That’s crazy!

There’s this little town outside of here and there is only like one gas station, its a Shell and they have it for $4.89 right now. OMG!!! What’s your highest and lowest gas prices at this moment?
I’m sorry aveitpeter’s – I simply can’t afford to go out and buy a more fuel efficient car, however that would be a great Idea and I would definitely be looking in to one on my next purchase if these prices keep up

and she keeps giving me hints that she likes me and that she thinks I’m cute but then I try to see her in person and it just never happens!!

Etcha Sketch asked:

I make $10.00 pr/hr FT, m-f, AND have 1 housecleaning side job on every other Saturday for $40.00. I walk my daughter to and from school, then I WALK to and from work. I cannot afford a car…..WE walk to the grocery store every wknd, take the bus to DR appts, and ride our bikes up to the local fishing hole a few times pr/fishing season (spring and fall) for some fishing and a picnic. USED school uniforms BROKE me this year. Summer bbsitting costs used up ALL of my savings.

I get state aid medical ins for HER (well, @ $10.00 pr/mo), but do not qualify for food stamps. We live in the cheapest part of town, almost the ghetto. I pay for rent, electricity and gas, basic cable tv, and internet svc, and cell phone + plan which is the cheapest one out there.

I just don’t get it…..I see people just like me, unemployed or low income employed, 2-3 kids going to karate, gymnastic and baseball every week, having flat screen TVs, Xbox + a bunch of games, or the Wii and all the bells and whistles, WHILE driving cars…paying for ins, AND registration, AND gas, AND payments and etc….

I have to tell MY kid NO to extracurricular activities like Karate, or ice skating lessons. NO to the movie theater (WE wait until it comes out @ the RedBox for a $1.00). NO to Wii. NO to EVERYwhere and EVERYthing because WE can’t even GET THERE! -because we have no transpo, NOT to mention paying for the activity…..

HOW do they do it? Why does it seem like EVERYone has more $$ to go out and do stuff then I do? I WORK! And I STILL can’t afford any extras. I just don’t get it.

babe asked:

i know i already asked this twice before but id like as many opinions as possible so if you already read this sorry. anyway my friend and i go to the same school 45 min. away. our classes start at the same time but end at different times. she is 22 and does not have her licenses or a job and makes no attempt at getting either. i have a full time job and obviously a car. everyday i run to the other side of town to get her then back track to get to school. gas is not cheap as you probably all know and i spend about 130-150 dollars in gas each month to get back and forth. my problem is she never helps out with gas and i have had to sit an hour to two and a half hours waiting for her to get out because if i ask her to leave early because i have things to do she wont. i stopped taking her for a while because of thsi but her and her mom put such a guilt trip on me i started taking her again. do you think this is fair to me to buy all the gas and sit forever waiting for her? thanks!
sorry i forgot to mention her class ends at 10pm and i have to be to work at 11pm so having to drive 45 min. back to town because i had to wait for her has made me late to work a few times but i don’t think she cares

Southern Belle ? asked:

I drive 70 miles roundtrip to and from work 5 days per week. I make just under $12/hour, and I have access to two vehicles, one gets 18 MPG and the other 21 MPG. I can’t afford a newer vehicle that gets 30+ MPG. There are no buses, there is no form of public transportation, riding a bike 350 miles per week isn’t an option, and there are no jobs any closer to my home. I pick up groceries and household products once a week in the town I work in. I mail or pay all of my bills online. I do not go on vacations or go anywhere that isn’t a neccesity. My fuel bill is $200 per month and rising… there are no solutions to my problem other than cheaper fuel. I can’t move to another city or closer to work due family reasons. So, all of the environmentalists, tree huggers, and all of those who say that going green is the way to go and that reducing oil/fuel consumption is possible…get a grip. I’d love to walk or ride a bike to work, but that isn’t possible — So what is a REAL solution?
