We have a new “green” feul station and I noticed that ethanol was .40 cheaper then gas around town. In the paper the owner said any care can use it but he is trying to sell it too! I wonder if it will work OK in my car.

My best friend’s dad just lost his job and my best friend might have to move. She won’t be able to afford the house that she is living in now and she lost her cell phone. The town that we live in isn’t cheap, so she might have to leave town. And, she won’t be able to hang out with me and my friends because they won’t be able to pay for gas. She is always crying now too. What should I do?

I live in Missouri (medium sized town/city) where I know the gas prices are much lower than in other parts of the country. Here the cheapest price is $3.69 a gallon and when I filled up yesterday it cost me a little over $50 to fill my tank (on empty). My boyfriend has a Saab SUV and it costs him $80 to fill up. While I’m sure there are people reading this who are paying way more, how much would it have to cost you to fill up your tank before you’ll stop buying gas??? My boyfriend said for him the price would be $200 (I think it’s so high!), but in the meantime we have both cut back on driving significantly (I haven’t drove my car outside my town for over six months now) which is kind of hard because things are pretty spaced out here and also I don’t live in a large enough city to where we have a very good bus system (but I did recently get a bike). Anyway, what’s your price??

when I get it started I have to keep pumping the gas to keep it running at all. I took it to for a pit stop at the mechanics just to have him check the battery… he said wow, a bunch of people all over this towns cars are doing the same thing… a particular gas station everyone goes too because their gas is always cheaper than everyone elses-always by about 15 cents (their nationwide) anyways… he said everyone that has bought gas their in the last two weeks cars are all gunked up… and some of them are so bad it take into the several hundreds to repair.. being that our car is older he suggested to just trade it in… we can’t afford that or the several hundred dollars. so then he suggested this stuff called 44bkg or something like that, i went and got it put it in the tank… it little better, still unable to drive itfor its stalling. It did manage one startup to keep running for 10 minutes just idling… so I’m thinking the stuff may have worked… what are your thoughts on it?

I don’t know how many knew of this or participated, but in my town there are several gas stations owned by the same oil company. On the day of the boycott, half of their stations went to 3.40 the other half stayed at 3.12 causing a panic among people to rush to the cheaper stations and fill up. Was this their way of saying “we are in control here” and is that not illegal, just like starting rumors in the stock market causing people to buy or sell stock at your gain?
Mr Taco, it would make a difference. There is so much fuel use that if no one pumped gas for a day let alone two days, their would be nowhere to pump the fuel and the reserve tanks would fill up. The price would have to come down quickly in order to sell before the oil distribution line bottle necked
